Alexei Beltyukov is a highly successful Russian businessman who also currently serves as vice president of the Skolkovo Foundation. In addition to his post at the Skolkovo Foundation, Mr. Beltyukov serves as an economic advisor to the Russian government department in charge of economic growth and affairs.
The Skolkovo Foundation that Mr. Beltukov heads as VP can be described as the silicon valley of Russia. It is an organization that promotes, funds and supports technology startups in the country. There is a particular focus on high tech, computer and science breakthroughs at the Skolkovo Foundation.
According to Blogarama, Alexei Beltyukov was educated at the INSEAD Business School in Fontainebleau, France, which is just outside the capital city of Paris. At INSEAD College, Alexei studied business and became one of the brightest graduates of the year. He later returend to INSEAD to complete a post graduate program in business.
To this day, Alexei holds a post at INSEAD College as an entrepreneur in residence where he sponsors new venture and works alongside current business students. Mr. Beltyukov also sponsors annual scholarships to Russian students who wish to pursue a business career and that want to study at INSEAD College such as he did. This is just one way that Mr. Beltyukov gives back to the community and his native country.
After learning about free markets and enterprise for the first time Alexei Beltyukov went to work for a foreign owned company that held extensive railway freight holdings inside of Russia. Mr. Beltyukov’s goal for the company, which was called New Brunswick Rail Leasing was to expand its capacity and business.
Alexei managed to deliver just that as manager for New Brunswick Rail Leasing. He helped build the firm into one of Russia’s largest private rail leasing companies with one of the largest cargo capacities for moving goods into and out of Russia.
Mr. Beltyukov then worked for a portfolio management company called A-Venture Ltd. This company oversaw dozens of different companies. Some which were profitable and some that were not. Alexei managed to sell and restructure companies to net a profit for the owners.
